Membership Enquiries

Armadale Bowls Club welcome inquiries about both social and full (pennant) membership from beginners and experienced bowlers.
Our club fields numerous teams in the Midweek (Tuesday) and Saturday pennant competitions. Beginner bowlers are welcome to drop in on a Sunday morning between 10 and 12.  Our experienced and ever patient club coaches can provide bowls for use on the day and introduce you to this wonderful game. The club Bar is open during any of our organised matches including pennant and Wednesday afternoon three bowl triples.

Located next to Princess Park, Armadale Bowls Club recently celebrated 125yrs. We have great a clubhouse facility which is available for function hire and two very well-maintained greens, one grass and one synthetic. Both greens are equipped with floodlights to facilitate club organised night play. The club caters for all levels of bowlers including those who prefer serious competition as well as those who prefer the social and fun side of bowls.

We have two main membership categories:

  • Affiliated (full) membership. Affiliated members are eligible for pennant competition selection, have the right to vote at AGM’s or Special General Meetings and serve as a club board member and participate in club social activities and games.
  • Social Membership. Social members may play in organised non-pennant games and participate in club social activities.

Both membership categories entitle the member to an entry gate key and mats and jacks cupboard key enabling those members to enjoy a casual rollup, practice session outside of organised match times.

Bowls is a non-contact, mentally stimulating activity for men and women of all ages and abilities who enjoy the outdoors. Bowls is a sport that does not require outstanding strength or physical attributes unless you are playing at a very advanced level.
For those so inclined, bowls can also provide a competitive outlet, to be enjoyed for most of one’s life.
